Aren’t the Manafort trial, and the Flynn persecution “show trials”?

In a very minor way but they are not Show Trials such as Communists put on at some point after they take power. The Show Trials happen to the guys on the Left when one man or cabal is consolidating power and eliminating his,their competition on their own side. Yhe unbelievers are useually taken care of other ways before the Show Trials. They are disposed of as the Party seizes power and cleans out the opposition. When the party is has power that single faction uses the Show Trials to kill off its rivals within the ruling Party and cement its ideology at the same time.
