Flake promised to serve only three terms as a Congressman when he ran in 2000 for the House.
In early 2005 he said he changed his mind and stayed in the House until he ran for Senator in 2012.
McCain was a war hero and served his country.

I agree on Flake, but what makes you say that “McCain was a war hero”. I normally associate the phrase “war hero” with someone who accomplished extraordinary feats of bravery in combat that saved lives or inflicted heavy losses to the enemy. As far as I know, McCain’s primary claim to “hero” status is getting shot down.
I don’t mean to disparage his service flying missions and his suffering as a POW, but I don’t see the heroism.
