Former Secretary of State John Kerry responded Wednesday night to the explosive New York Times op-ed alleging a “quiet resistance” inside the Trump administration actively working to thwart the president’s agenda.
“It scares the hell out of me,” Mr. Kerry told comedian Stephen Colbert on “The Late Show.”
“First of all, there is a reassurance,” he added. “It means that for James Buchanan, he’s no longer the worst president.”
A senior Trump administration official who was granted anonymity by The Times penned an op-ed Wednesday claiming to be part of a group of individuals “working diligently from within” to sabotage parts of the president’s agenda and “his worst inclinations.” The piece has roiled the Trump administration, prompting Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats to deny any involvement.

Given that he is a former major party candidate for President as well as former Senator and Secretary of State, comments like these ought to be taken at face value and earn him a trip to Guantanamo.
It’s not “free speech” when opposition party high officials make statements like this. It’s a coup attempt and ought to be put down with appropriate severity.

He’s adding fuel to the fire the RATs are trying to build against our sitting legally elected President.
Having done nothing but spend the money of working stiffs all their lives doesn’t result in much wear and tear on their health, so we are stuck with them for an average of 85-90 years
They don’t actually believe any of the nonsense they push on others actually applies to themselves. The reason that so many of them last so long however more because so many like Kerry spend most of their time obsessing over their own well being. So they have their assistants feed them healthy foods in healthy amounts and schedule time for lots of aerobic exercises.
Hillary spends lots of her time obsessing over her health as well, but she is a boozer and too lazy and disagreeable to actually follow the advice of her health advisers or perform her scheduled exercise. We probably will not have to listen to nonsensical babble coming from her actual lips for that many more years. She probably will not die any time soon, but inactive overweight boozer women of her age group have over twice the rate of dementia as compared to men of a similar age. So her staff will have to keep her under wraps except for highly scripted and rehearsed events.
But speaking of Republicans by contrast... during the Kavanaugh hearings it appeared that Senator Cruz looked like he has gained about 50 pounds and is working hard to eat himself to death. Why is it so many conservatives make such unhealthy life style choices?
Kerry should do the country a favor and end himself ASAP!

We weren’t trying to overthrow the government when we said things like that. Kerry is. Kerry is not a mere pundit, either - he’s a former Secretary of State, one who seems to think he still inhabits the role.
