It's conceivable that this woman had some kind of grudge or dispute with the dead guy and is just using the "I accidentally walked into his place" excuse to hide the fact that she planned to murder him all along.
We won't know until we see what the prosecution charges her with and what evidence they present to justify the charge.
Generally, if something will justify or lend support to a cops story, their own departments will make sure it gets in the press. It's done all the time, probably daily.
And I can't think of any scenario where there would be some justification for this event, since the Dallas police officer herself who fatally shot her neighbor to death, admitted she had mistaken his apartment for hers and shot him dead.
I would think if anything has yet to be revealed, it won't be in her favor.
Please don't tell me they were hired based on their ability.
So not hiring women police officers guarantees a competent police force? Really?

Not entirely true. If someone steals my gun and then goes on a shooting spree, I am not the one pulling the trigger.
