I grew up in the accepting of homosexuality world. I can’t “see back” to any good in not accepting it. I don’t have personal memory of ‘laughing and mocking the f words.” I see that homosexuality was viewed as disgusting and that everyone was SUPPOSED to see it as disgusting but I cannot see the good in that. What if you desired the same sex? Should you really lose acceptance in society?
Yes, we should all find defecation in wrong places disgusting. Urination, vomiting, etc. Yes, we should all find other people having any sex in front of us at inopportune times or places disgusting. I think we can ALL agree on those.
I just don’t see that private sexuality between consenting adults should ever be thought of much by others at all, let alone “found disgusting.” To me, it’s like getting up the dander over someone else’s choice of food at a restaurant. I don’t eat sea urchin. I can’t be bothered that there is a man at a different table enjoying his. Why care?
I admit I am a product of my time. We made posters in high school celebrating gay and straight sexuality. Androgeny was in, some boys wore makeup and glitter. So maybe my upbringing doesn’t match everyone older’s. But still, why would anyone care about what your neighbor does in his bedroom? Not seeing the benefit of hurting and shaming people for their sexual wishes.
You've certainly got a point in one sense: No normal person wants to think about homosexuality at all. But the problem is that the homosexual impulse appears to be persistently predatory. It's never satisfied, because it's abnormal, something that only people who have other psychological problems--including suicidal tendencies--seem to do. Along those lines, homosexual men have astronomically high numbers of "partners," extremely high rates of drug and alcohol abuse, and extremely short lifespans. The statistics on suicide, substance abuse, and lifespan apply to lesbians as well. It's tragic, and seems to arise from serious family problems. These are our brothers and sisters in Christ, and we want good to come to them--but that isn't going to happen by going along with their irrational demands.
One further sense in which the homosexual impulse never seems to be satisfied is that it's got a "movement." That movement told us decades ago that it just wanted to be left alone to do its [awful] thing. But it wasn't done. It wanted its [almost invariably short-term] relationships to be equated under the law with marriage. And it wanted homosexuals to be permitted--and then preferred!--to be chosen to adopt children. And in recent years, the movement has further demanded that anyone who doesn't approve of homosexuality keep that fact a secret under threat of bankruptcy or, in many Western countries, imprisonment.
Over the long term, if you are "accepting" of anything that denies both the moral authority of God and the freedom of flawed human beings to choose to follow that authority, you will eventually be hunted down and enslaved. Why? Because like Communists, Nazis, and Moslems, homosexual activists are full of rebellious rage, and demand (like Lucifer) the power of God, looking to the state to give them that power over their fellow men. They are corrupt and crazy. Pray for them and do good to them. But don't follow them, don't accept their ways or offer "tolerance" of their form of insanity, and don't give them control over anything in human society.
It was much better....they were quiet
Homosexuality despite being the preference of maybe 1-2% of the population is not normal and when it becomes as accepted and in fact venerated as it is today
It spells the death knell of civilization status quo and deterioration follows
There is no question of that
It’s fostered today by media and Hollywood and academia by the same progressives we see daily who control our culture
It’s direct result of the demise of traditional religious adherence in the West and it will be a major contributor to bringing us down
It’s funny an unintended consequence of particularly the Third Reich and their purity quests is that people are so terrified of being called bigot or Nazi that nobody without steel resolve dare challenge any aggrieved minority
That means everybody except white Christians ..
The future is grim to be honest
We don’t fight borders for the same reason ...fear of being labeled Nazi or bigot
The Nazis actions insured the demise of the white race in part in retribution to their own excess
I doubt that’s what they intended
It gave everyone wishing to destroy western values and traditions an impunity card
We are fostering a rise in homosexual men by helicoptering moms and meek dads
I see it all around me
Mom is authority and it damages masculinity and the inherent biology of objectifying women as sexual pleasure partners and life producing mates
We’ve raised our kids traditionally and you can see the stark difference
rise of homosexuality is more symptomatic than causative though as it continues to triumph it becomes causative to cultural rot
