No, I saw your point just fine, you’re just wrong. Substance abuse is completely legal grounds to suspend or revoke a security clearance. What matters is the clearance, not the job. The law and governing regs are very clear on this. Feel free to reply with something besides a one-liner.

A few puffs on a joint isn’t even close to abuse.

You just throw words around.

I agree that security matters, but a loss of security is orders of magnitude beyond what Musk did in the video.

I had a security clearance continuously for 25 years. So you’re going to tell me how that system works? Good luck with that. Regs are regs, personal views are completely irrelevant. You can be ordered to take a drug test at ANY TIME. They can call you in for urinalysis on Christmas Day if they want. If you fail that drug test, you’re gone and all your rationalization and soft-pedaling won’t mean jack. It’s 2018 but to the governing regulations for security clearances, it’s still 1954, back when taking a hit of grass was considered no different than a shot of heroin.

Honestly, for this guy, he will probably get his security clearance suspended for awhile and get some letter of warning to send a message. Since it’s on public video, they have to do SOMETHING. If this guy was military, he would’ve been in the brig an hour after his CO was alerted to the video. Elon is lucky to be in the position that he is. If he was running Lockheed or Boeing, he’d already have “resigned to spend more time with family”. YOU clearly don’t understand how conservative that business is. It’s not like the CEO of the Huffington Post smoking a J on vacation in the Hamptons.

You’re still just blowing words, and impressing nobody.

Look at the reality, not the pecksnif farm.

Things are changing, and denying it may satisfy you that you have blown somebody off, but you will simply be short changing yourself.

Freerepublic is not the universe.

Really, I’m the one saying nothing. Alright, since I know nothing about the government even though I worked the active duty military, civil service, and contractor sides of it for 25 years, you tell me how the government works regarding security clearances. Your continuing lack of a meaningful reply is very telling.

By the way, pecksnif is not a word. You sound like a 5th grader on a gaming forum.

Obviously you do alot of reading. (not)

Do you know who Charles Dickens is?

Fail across the board.

You’re not the only person that has had the anal exam, and it is totally beside the point anyway.

The whole thing is fake and political.

Musk had his anal a long time ago, and they know what he smokes I guarantee you.

You are the biggest idiot on the planet. I purposely never gave an opinion of whether Elon having a security clearance pulled was right, wrong, or indifferent. Since you told me I was completely wrong, I gave you the chance to tell me factually how security clearances are granted and what gets looked at. Your replies are repeatedly complete garbage. Please tell me you’re retired or self-employed, any employer would fire you for being completely unable to follow a conversation. Serious as a heart attack, you come off like somebody who is drunk 24/7.

He wanted the stock price to drop significantly, so that he could buy it more easily.

As one that has followed the markets for many years, that was my first thought.

I thought I read recently that he wanted to take the company private. If so, this is a good start.
