The last time I was in a Whole Foods joint was about 20 years ago with the woman I was going out with.I was already wary of the whole “organic” thing but when I saw ordinary,run-of-the-mill chicken breast for $10 a pound I knew I wouldn’t be back.Of course at that time chicken breast could be found at Stop & Shop for about $3 a pound.
I bought 50 lbs. of boneless, skinless chicken breasts at Aldi three weeks ago for $1.69/lb.
