Ted is articulate and an intellectual. He doesn’t play the likability game although he is likable enough. Trump on the other hand is a leader like no other - focused, determined and fearless. They complement each other. Ted would have made a great VP imo had things not turned nasty during the campaign.
At first in the campaign, the two got along so well I thought that might happen. They would have made great partners.
