The Temptations the mini series from 1998 was entertaining and a half-way decent history of the Temps.

Still in reruns on VH1 or someplace. Shot here in Pittsburgh for two reasons.

1) By 1998 those neighborhoods in Detroit did NOT look good on film.

2)The family of David Ruffin did not like the frank portrayal of his drug issues. They were friendly with then-Detroit Mayor Dennis Archer, and prevailed upon him to not cooperate with the producers.
