Sounds like manufacturing to me - not "tech".

"Much of what will be made at the Shepherdsville location the company used to buy from other manufacturers across the country. Now, they will be making different parts and electrical components in house."

Sounds like other Americans might be out of luck - good for Kentucky - but perhaps a lateral move otherwise.

Modern manufacturing is “tech.” The days of humans mindlessly screwing the same bolt into an engine block all day are over. Robots do that. Modern manufacturing now requires a technical skill. Perhaps not engineer grade, but more than taking in anyone off the street.
