To: I want the USA back

I used to have a subscription to Scientific American, but in the late Nineties, I stopped reading it.

It is discouraging if you take the time to read the occasional article from Popular Mechanics, how incredibly PC driven it has become with its embrace of global warming crap and such.

I used to have a subscription to Scientific American...

Me too, but I got tired of them treating Global Warming as a given fact, never to be questioned.

Same here on Scientific American. Also, Martin Gardner died.

Mathematical Intelligencer is not really a journal, but a high level mazine of interesting, but known math and some of its applicagions. Not for the faint of heart. I left it a few years ago, but just because my interests varied. It is a shame to hear.

Re: Pop Mechanics

I used to get that magazine, also Popular Science and Sports Illustrated.

I had to discontinue all three, they simply got too politically driven.

I want to read about cool gadgets, not about how we'll all die from global warming. I want to read about baseball, not how whoever the flavor of the month is "brave" or "empowered" for simply being a minority.

So, they no longer get my money. You'd think that magazines like that would be safe from political correctness, but no.
