I would think a far better prayer would be along the lines of
“Lord, If You see fit to allow this storm to hit, Help us to escape the worst of it as we flee, and remind us to be gracious in giving and helping to clean up the ensuing mess and help us all to remember Your loving kindness and care when we are dealing with the inevitable loss of property, as many of us will be devastated financially. We thank You for the massive abundances in life that You have allowed us to enjoy thus far, but we realize that nothing is permanent, and help us to trust You in all things- good and bad- In Jesus name Amen”
