First time Russians attacked was February 7th. To use Sec. Def. Mattis's words - they were annihilated then.

I vote to remove our illegal forces from the sovereign nation of Syria. We have ZERO business there. If you want to see hell break lose in this country just provoke a war with Russia. Russia was invated there. We just invaded with no provocation.

Remind me again; when did Congress authorize the invasion and occupation of Syria?

Should be interesting to see if Putin is prepared to lose some Navy ships and aircraft. I’d think not, given the cost in both capital equipment and casualties.

All of the parties in Syria need to agree to de-Islamize Syria.

“The U.S. does not require any assistance in our efforts to destroy ISIS in the At Tanf deconflicition zone and we advised the Russians to remain clear,” Brown said.

What is Brown talking about?
Are our troops directly involved in fighting ISIS or are we more like cheerleaders, for others who are, and are we just warning the Russians to be careful and not harm us in their attempts to crush ISIS and other anti Assad groups? - Tom

“U.S. military officials bluntly warned Russian and Syria not to go forward with an attack within a 35-mile-wide security zone that the U.S. maintains around Tanf, a key strategic outpost.”

We have a zone where jihadis are protected from Syrian government attacks. Shameful.

last time the Russian mercs had no idea what forces they faced and as you said they were “annihilated’ filling all available beds in Moscow and At Pete hospitals plus over Russian 200 dead.

Now the Russian have brought up their advanced jamming units, and they have been playing havoc with our air to ground coms among others making it difficult to impossible for AC130s and arty. Now the Russian navy has taken up positions we uses to launch missiles into Syria.

Will be different this time

The base is used by U.S. special forces to train Syrian fighters who are confronting Islamic State militants.

Protecting them is more like it.
