With all of the stories of hijackers getting away, box cutters found later on, etc. - it wouldn’t surprise me. I guess the government was worried about a nationwide threat as well - shutting down ALL the airports.

Hopefully the lack of reporting on the failed attempts means we got them behind the scenes without giving the various other cells a lot of notice on what we were doing. Although that assumes our government knows what the heck they are doing. The more we learn about their other failures leaves that in real doubt.

I am no fan of Gore, but I think the process would have been the same. This stuff is rote policy/process.

While the President is always “in charge”, the immediate response/reaction is not made up as you go.

There were always stories about the Capitol and the White House being targets. The plane that crashed in Pennsylvania was supposed to be headed for one of them. This one may have been targeting the other.

Before 9/11, maybe 1998 or 1999, myself and a couple of friends were flying to Kansas from Detroit. While waiting for my carry on baggage to be scanned, I saw a middle east looking guy running by and down the tunnel to where the plane departures were. We never thought much about it, just figured the guy was late for his departure.

After we seated ourselves on the plane, airport officials came on board with a bomb sniffing dog and walked up and down the aisle then left the plane while escorting the guy off.

Don't know what it was all about and soon forgot about it........

After cell phones alerted the passengers on FLT 93 and they prevented it from being crashed into the Capital building full of congress critters, the very first thing congress did was ban cell phones on airlines...

Box cutters and Al Qaeda documents were later found in their luggage. Timmons, the pilot, and the rest of the crew were repeatedly questioned by the FBI, though the findings were never shared. The pilot concluded that Flight 23 would have been the next plane hijacked by terrorists if the airport shutdown order had been delayed. “The FBI asks questions,” General Timmons is quoted as saying, “They don’t tell you things.”

The FBI 'tells things' that hurts Republicans and helps Democrats. They must have made that call that the truth would NOT help democrats.

I know the lady (a born again Christian) who checked in Muhammad Atta on 9-11, and as I recall, she told her super that there was something wrong, but that was dismissed. She was so troubled later that she left her job and never went back.

Partner, We hear ya loud and clear. Every single president has not done one thing about our very corrupt FBI and corrupt Justice Department for some 30 years after President Ronald Wilson Reagan.

Partner, all we have to do is look at the Attorney Generals that have been selected for the past 30 years and they are just plain incompetent folks who have their heads up their posteriors. I ain't lying either!!!

Personally, we are strongly suggesting to President Trump to release all of the documents that have been put together by our Justice Department that do not show any Russian collusion whatsoever but they do show criminal behavior by the Justice Department and our own FBI and Miss Hillary and the Clintoon Crime Syndicate.

The Hell of what Mitch McConJob and that Paul Rino think and say since they have not helped out this POTUS one single time. Paul Rino needs to leave Congress right now!!! Paul Rino has got to be one of the worst Speakers we have had in Congress. This is another sore point these past 30 years.

Personally, Paul Rino and Mitch McConJob are trying their best to literally destroy the Republican party. We need to get Paul Rino out of there now, since he has failed to come up with a budget.

We have a POTUS in President Trump who is literally working his posterior to get things done. We have never seen such a POTUS with such a high energy level period!

President Trump comes to work at 6:00 a.m. in the morning and leaves at 6:00 p.m. and all for $1 dollar a year salary. Amazing isn't it!!!!
