Hungary doesn't actually need to be in the EU but if they want the EU money, they have to conform to EU rules. Same way here, if your state wants the education money from Washington they have to abide by the rules.
The Hungarian-Austrian nation has been split up in to numerous countries and they need to continue that so they can get along.

Not really, Nations actually possess a fair amount of sovereignty under the EU. The problem is that the EU is grabbing power they don’t structurally possess. Hungary is being very brave and deserve any support we give them. They have taken an anti migrant stand far tougher than ours. Your position is not very defensible
By the way, you might find it interesting to know that Austro-hungary hasn’t existed for a hundred years. It ended in 1918, try to keep up.
