I barreled out of the bedroom, cussing the cats, and was stunned to see them all sitting or lying around doing nothing.
Then Hubby said, "No. I think we're at war!" while pointing at the TV. "I heard about it on the radio in the garage and came in to see what was going on."
The towers were both billowing smoke and I had no clue why. Then there was a replay of the 2nd plane hitting and my heart sank with the knowledge America was under attack.
Then the Pentagon was hit, then the plane down in PA. Where would the next hit be?
I didn't sleep for two days. Other than helping Hubby gas up all the vehicles and stocking up on food and other items that Tuesday, I sat glued to the TV filled with horror ..... and with loathing for the scum who'd attacked. That loathing hasn't diminished one iota.
Thanks for sharing your memories. I guess you’re more sensitive than I am. I had no clue....except for knowing the blind sheik’s trial was supposed to start that day [I’ll SWEAR I read that!] and wondering what kind of theater that would produce.
I’ll bet the cats looked at you like you had lost your mind. LOL!
