A longtime College of Southern Nevada sociology professor is facing felony gun charges in connection with an on-campus shooting on the second day of classes.
Mark J. Bird was charged last month with discharging a gun within a prohibited structure, carrying a concealed weapon without a permit and possessing a dangerous weapon on school property, court records show. He was found bleeding from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his arm about 8:15 a.m. on Aug. 28 outside a bathroom in the Charleston campus K building.

He was in Vegas. My bet is that he didn’t like his teaching salary, and heard you can make a lot of money in Vegas as a one-armed bandit.
Now that he is at least somewhat disabled (differently-abled? activity-challenged?),he can claim membership in a victim group historically oppressed by the evil rich white slack-jawed hillbilly Trumpist patriarchs, and thus get tenure faster, if he doesn’t have it already! /s;)
*Might* be a 69-year-old Mark Jeff Bird of Nevada. Don’t know absolutely for sure, yet, but he probably did write the following. Maybe he shot himself for his billionaire bosses’ misanthropic canard about climate change.
