I have felt the same way ever since the nearly entire Black student population of Howard University cheered the O.J. Simpson verdict.

I was teaching in a large urban high school at that time. The school was perhaps 40% black and 60% white. Lots of tough black kids. Lots of tough white kids.
Our principal was stupid enough to order all the teachers to have their classroom TVs on for the verdict. Like race relations in the school weren’t bad enough as it was.
When the verdict came in, all the black kids cheered. The white kids were angry. Amazingly, there was no race riot that day.
I am, however, positive that had OJ been found guilty, the white kids would have cheered and the black kids would have been angry.
AMEN!! Eye opening moment when the blacks all cheered for OJ to get away with Murder!!! I have looked at some blacks differently since then.....sad.....sadder yet, is the fact I havent been proven wrong.
