The ultimate irony. In several primary races the long term white Democrat who supported “diversity,” or, at least gave voice to support, was thrown out of office by a truly “diverse” challenger. With their long time divisive identity policies, by which they intended to hold power indefinitely, they have been tossed aside. As one black woman who was interviewed on TV said, “I only want somebody representing me who looks like me.” Congratulations white Democrat. You did build that.
Concord Heights has become (visually) Somali and Nepalese. The Afghans are recent arrivals, there are Congolese, and the State is trying to refuse Syrians.
As a fraction of the state’s overwhelmingly white population, they are insignificant - but, as in NYC and Boston and Chicago, even here, people (except white people) are going to vote for their own.
