In college, I browsed the foreign language library a few times, I have seen Romanian, it seems a lot harder than the other Romance languages, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese and so on. It looked completely unlike any language I had seen. I’ve got to toss that in. Maybe I’ll go over to the computer translator and see how some English phrases stack up when reading it in Romanian. It appeared rather complex. Maybe it’s a bit more like Latin, maybe not. I will see. (Thinking out loud)

You pronounce it like Italian. Thing to keep in mind in Romanian - the h isn’t silent like in other Romance languages.

About 15% of the vocabulary is of Slavic origin. Still, 85% of the language is of Vulgar Latin descent and originates from the popular speech of Roman soldiers and settlers who arrived in Dacia when the Emperor Trajan conquered it in the first century.
