I think Ted Cruz will win, but I also expect this race to be a lot closer than 2012. I’m not panicking though, it just energizes me that much more to vote for Cruz.
Broken glass fellow Texans!

Republicans need to turnout on election day. That is all.

For you people outside of Texas, Loopy Valdez (Worst. Sheriff. Ever. - Though the Broward, FL guy tried.) is on the top of the “Straight Party” Ticket so the Dems are screwed.

for Ted to lose, the whole state would have to go blue.

Nobody is going to vote for Dan Patrick, then vote for Beto and nobody is saying Dan Patrick is going to lose, so why would Ted?

Every other commercial during the local news is a Beto ad filmed with a potato camera and yet he’s only at 42% to Ted’s 46% in the latest poll.

A Trump visit or a deranged leftist march would be nails in Beto’s political coffin.

Ted Cruz is probably the most articulate persuasive intelligent and intimidating conservative in the Senate and certainly in Texas. Everytime he speaks, whether in debate or in committee or speech, he is profound, deep, and inspiring.

He will win. The people who vote in Texas don’t make a big splash in the media or on TV. They just go vote quietly and don’t do polls either.

No, so stop wringing your hands! With Abbot running for Gov. it is going to be a clean sweep for the GOP.

I remember the days in 2016 when all the doom and gloomers said Trump couldn't win!

Well, they are back!

Texas’s GOP complacency will eventually bite them and they will get a blue win statewide. With maybe 40% turnout in a presidential year its only a matter of time until a motivated D will sneak in a win..

I don’t think it’s going to happen this cycle, but D’s are motivated and Cruz’s behavior in 2016 almost certainly won’t help his cause.

For people who believe this nonsense, here is my question:

How is it that in may with largely uncontested primaries on the Republican side and highly contested primaries on the Democrat side, Cruz got more votes than the Democrat senate candidates in May?

Why is it that all the Republican voters who voted for Cruz in May are going to decide that it is less important to show up to a November general election vote for control of the senate than a primary race that literally has no consequence for any of them?

Let me further hazard a guess that a few more Republican voters might show up in November than showed up in May. And by the way, that was a state record for Republican turnout and they largely had no reason to show up. There were no major contested races on the ballot in May.

This is is pure nonsense.

Texan here! It’s been 2 years since posted last. Beto is everywhere. Saturation like crazy. I’m starting to feel, finally, Cruz taking this seriously. Hope it not to late. I will say he pissed a lot of conservatives off at the convention

People on The Right who keep bashing Cruz need to stop until after the election.

Re-Elect Cruz. Then, somewhere along the line, President Trump can nominate him to replace Ruth Buzzard on the Supreme Court once her embalming fluid gives out and people notice the stench of decay. Then the Texas Governor can appoint a more charismatic Republican to replace Cruz.

That at least is how it would ideally turn out.

The campaign is just beginning. Remember, Harry Reid was supposed to lose in 2010 but he surged in the last few weeks and won.

They just announced on Fox that Cruz is doing two one hour debates, the second one on foreign policy.

Cruz is a world class debater. I expect a complete crush. Between the debates, Trump visits, and a bleeding heart lib as an opponent, Cruz will win big.
