The problem the rank and file have is there is really no whistle-blower protection. They know they can't leak until their retirement is fully vested. I read a story a few months ago about a Florida agent. He didn't like the way things were going at headquarters regarding a terrorism case. He leaked to the Miami press and then to a Congressional aide. Headquarters found out about it. They gave him a 60 day suspension without pay and then he retired. He is a highly regarded terrorism expert. He didn't have kind words about McCabe when he got fired.
Whistle blower protection is exactly what is needed for government. Otherwise it is impossible to purge the swamp. Only insiders know what is really going on.
Only whistle blowers could tell us why the FBI in Florida failed to do their job and investigate school shooter Cruzs previous and reported threats against schools.
That was never investigated and reported by the media. I’ve heard others say that insiders wanted another mass shooting so they could use the sacrifice of others to take away the 2nd Amendment. I don’t buy into the we need to classify everything to protect us, while the swamp imports potential terrorists.
