Has anything at all of any significance happened to any of these people? The answer is no. And we all know it. And nothing ever will. Not a single one of them will do any time for this. They all just “retire” and write books and continue to have some form of career as an advisor or analyst or commentator.

This is all just hot air and it’s been blowing for two years. The fix is in and this republic is done.

“Not a single one of them will do any time for this. They all just “retire” and write books...”

That is true. Political crimes are not typically dealt with by sending the perps to jail, or the gallows. If you don’t believe me, look Watergate, the poster child of political crimes.

Whatever you might say about Watergate, you must admit it was a slam dunk win for the Left - and is still considered the most consequential political scandal in modern history.

Yet, Nixon - supposedly at the center of it all - was not hanged or sent to prison - they let him resign and no one laid a hand on him. He wrote his memoirs, established the Nixon library, and when he died, they honored him with a state funeral with full pomp and circumstance.

Some lower level people went to jail for various technical violations, some were quickly pardoned. Nobody got convicted of treason. And remember this was a slam dunk where the prosecution held all the cards - the deep state, the MSM, the RINOs in the legislature and the judicial branch - all were aligned against Nixon as they are against Trump.

But even if Nixon was spared any legal consequences, no one can say Watergate was inconsequential politically. The entire half century since is commonly referred to as The Post Watergate Era. That is how consequential it was. The legacy of Watergate has hobbled Rebublicans ever since - they have constantly had to distance themselves from it - apologizing, avoiding confrontations for fear of being shamed with the Watergate stigma - ironically forced to concede the the moral high ground to the most corrupt party of all time - the Democrats! All because of Watergate.

So even without public hangings and corporeal punishment, which Americans do not seem to support for political crimes, there can be serious and long lasting political consequences.

I think this is what Trump is after. I think he is looking for a way to have this conspiracy against him come to light in such a way that the American people get to see the Democrat Party and their MSM whores as the scum that they are.

By the time the POTUS gets done engineering this scandal, the Democrat name will be dirt. The MSM will be a laughing stock. The George Soros types will have no one left in government to bribe and the Clinton types will have no one left to blackmail or threaten.

Maybe nobody will go to jail or get hanged, but I’m OK with that since I never expected it anyway.
