“The way it was, was right. The way it is, is wrong,” she said, drawing applause from the audience.

She was confirmed in 1993. I guess she was on vacation during the Clarance Thomas hearings and 52-48 confirmation vote of 1991.

I honestly wondered if she was just sugar coating it to help it go down.

What’s with all these leftists who talk about “magic wands”? First Barry, and now Ruth Buzzy.

Wave a magic wand? You can barely raise your head to speak.
There should be a mandatory retirement age sorry but true. She is barely functioning.

Why does she want to spend her final years dragging herself to work where she struggles physically, struggles to stay awake?

I guess shredding the constitution is more important than time with family.

[Good lord, all I can wonder is how W managed to name one good person for SCOTUS in Alito.]

Dubya is one of the worst GOP presidents ever. Better than most Democrat presidents, but that’s not saying much.

Wow, she is really on death’s door. Bundled up to keep her warm in the middle of summer, long pauses to catch her breath. She could barely hold her head up and was having trouble completing sentences. All of that noise about her fitness program was misdirection. The story about her being on life support this summer probably had a lot of truth to it. I don’t think she will make it thru the winter and Trump will get a 3rd SCOTUS nomination in early 2019.

They do seem to make these references to black magic quite a bit, don’t they.

We all fought the Miers nomination excepting the Bushbots and Hugh Hewitt.
Harriet Meirs worked with two other people in a particular office in the GWB White House. One of the other two was Kavenaugh. Ironic, isn’t it?

She is right. I noticed all those Republican Senators displaying partisanism. Boy they really interfered with the proceedings with one-sidedness. All those people in the back every couple of minutes were shouting Republican epithets and having to be dragged out. Which side does she blame for the partisanship?

Ginsburg points out how wrong the Democrats are, and the vast majority of responses here attack her. Un-freaking-believable.
.
Attention idiots: when someone is taking your side, don’t attack them. It’s really pretty simple. We are not supposed to be the eternal Hatemongers, that’s the Left’s job.

No; she does not point out how wrong the Democrats are. She bewails the use of constitutional practice since it favors conservatives, and the advantage fell away from the Democrats. She is not taking our side in any way whatsoever.
