Michelle Obama announced a stadium-sized speaking tour Wednesday for her upcoming memoir, “Becoming,” and the first stop is in Chicago — at the United Center.
Chicago’s favorite former First Lady announced via an Instagram post that the tour will hit 10 different US cities to coincide with the release of the book. The United Center gig is Nov. 13, the same day the book is scheduled to be released.“Becoming” covers the story of Obama’s life, from her roots as a black girl growing up on Chicago’s South Side to her tenure as the first lady of the United States, as well as everything between.
Tickets for the “Becoming” tour will go on sale in two stages.
First, from now until 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, fans can register through Ticketmaster to become a Ticketmaster Verified Fan. On Sept. 20, select Verified Fans will receive a code via text message that will allow them to participate in a presale specifically for Verified Fans. At 10 a.m. Sept. 20, the presale will begin, and those who received a text-message code will be able to purchase tickets.
During the second stage, tickets go on sale to the general public as normal. The public sale begins at 10 a.m. Sept. 21. Tickets will be available to everyone, including Verified Fans who did not receive a presale code.
Ticket prices will start at $29.50 for the tour, a Live Nation PR rep said. According to Ticketmaster’s FAQ about the speaking tour, certain ticket packages will include a meet-and-greet session and/or a copy of “Becoming.”

They’re charging to get in....? Are these people out of their minds? Nobody is going to pay to see her, or any politician for that matter. I wouldn’t fault someone for not wanting to pay for a Trump rally, even though you know that people would pay gladly if they could get a reserved seat.
Running for President or VP in 2020?
Will the book include any pictures of her while pregnant?

Ha ha, nobody is going to pay $30 to see her, outside of some deranged leftists. Likely she will be at a desk in the lobby of the United Center while a line snakes out the door. They just want to make it seem like a stadium tour...they will be sadly embarrassed.

Can you imagine if Trump charged for a rally? I mean people would gladly pay $100 on up if they were assured of getting a reserved seat, they wouldn’t have to wait, and within the first 40 rows. The media would scream.
If he had Melania with him, they’d probably pay even more.
