Even at the very beginning of internet use, there were alternative search engines, and some of us then sensed that some better ones existed, without some of the questionable goings-on. Never made that g-—— one the primary choice. Glad now

“Or Ixquick (startpage)…. “

Products I search on Ixquick are showing up in as the ads in my email and other sites I go to.

So far so good with DuckDuckGo.

I’ve been using it for some time now, and I’ll never go back to GOOgle.

Interesting... I've never had the experience. Mind you, FWIW I only every use a browser while it is "In Private" mode and I don't use a "free web-based email".

Break them up and close them down. Sell off the parts on ebay. Bulldoze the data centers and turn them into NRA training centers not open to leftists.

Yep. Agree wholeheartedly. First there needs to be a massive antitrust action brought by the DOJ (wake up Jeff), then they need to be heavily regulated like the media companies they effectively are.

I have hated google for years and use:

startpage.com,
the world’s most private search engine.
