I guess we’ll find out in November if Willie was successful in yanking our chains or not. If Texas goes blue and we lose a senate seat (and perhaps control of the senate as a result), I’m going to give a good deal of credit to Willie for using his celebrity status to help Beto’$ campaign.

And for the record, I do NOT like having my chain yanked. Never held LBJ or Kinky in high esteem. Add Willie to that list. I sincerely wish none of them were associated with Texas. Does that disqualify me from being Texan?

Not at all, in fact I admire your honesty. Texans are free to chose who they like or dislike and I respect their right to do so.

If we lose a senate seat because of Willie then we deserve what we get. Willie may influence some, but they were going to vote democratic anyway. There are some senile democrats that will always vote straight ticket. They bleed blue. Hispanics and other ethnic groups are beginning to wise up and some are switching parties.

Now consider Beto, he is of Irish descent with a Hispanic nickname, and a no nothing record of accomplishments. His only hope is that people will not notice he is pulling their chain to get elected. Cruise must convince these voters ol' Beto is yanking their chain.

Rafael, on the other hand, is of Cuban descent (by way of Canada) and has a proven voting record in the Senate. He is not as despised as many would have us believe. He has to convince them he is not yanking their chain or ours.
