I’ve heard about this. It seems that the liberals are blaming our allegedly oppressive bigoted society, bigotry against people with gender dysphoria, for suicidal tendencies.
They don’t think there are any issues inherent with someone thinking they’re a woman trapped in a man’s body and all that. Instead, they blame society for being intolerant and hateful towards such people.

More than a little convoluted, but at least I know who they are talking about. Often I don’t even know if they mean boys who think they are girls or girls who think they are boys.

It must be a living hell to not have the gender you feel inside. To have a man’s brain and woman’s body or vice versa. THAT is the cause of suicide. Not other people not recognizing you.
Think of a man born horribly disfigured. I knew one, who played monsters in the movies, WITH NO MAKEUP ON. He scared children to death. It wasn’t society’s fault that he scared them or that they couldn’t recognize how great he was inside. Life sometimes throws you huge obstacles. He couldn’t “transition” to a normal face.
We do need to treat everyone kindly and accept everyone’s conditions and help them. But the pain of being born with something wrong isn’t everyone else’s fault. It’s no one’s fault. I wish the APA understood thst small fact. Work on the people accepting themselves. Dedicate yourself to helping others. The lepers who were cared for by Mother Theresa wouldn’t have minded which gender she felt like.
