I am not that up to date on California politics, but seem to remember that, for the first time in her career, Senator Feinstein has an opponent from the left. As a result of the jungle primary system used in this election, her opponent in the general election is another Democrat who is more radical than she is. She is probably desperate as the "conservative" in a California election. (She probably qualifies as an ass also.)

The fact that her position as the Senator from California means more to her than any sense of integrity shows what she is since Feinstein has had this letter since July of this year.

It also why we need term limits and a law forbidding any former Senator or Congressperson from becoming a lobbyist for at least 10 years
