DALLAS - Following the shooting death of Botham Jean by the hands of Dallas Police Officer Amber Guyger, multiple search warrants were executed at Jean’s apartment as part of the investigation.

One of the warrants became a public record Thursday afternoon when it was returned to the judge who signed it. It was shortly after Jean’s funeral had ended. It listed several items found in Jean's apartment, including a small amount of marijuana.

Shoot a totally innocent man to death in his own residence, and then search his home, then they run to the media and attempt to discredit the victim with what was found.

Disgusting!~

“I love how the local governments/feds ALWAYS attempt to discredit, stigmatize and smear innocent people who’ve unwittingly became their victims.”

Just like when they searched Justine Damond’s dwelling after the somali cop killed her in Minneapolis last year.

Officer Guyger was obviously part of the elite Pre-Crime Unit.

Is it customary for the residence of a murder victim to be subject to a search warrant?

At this point I wouldn't be shocked if a cop planted the marijuana .

Off duty cop blows away a guy in his own house for no apparent reason, other cops go searching for ways to make the deceased appear unsympathetic.

Didn’t this happen also in Minnesota, with that poor Australian woman who had called the police about hearing noises outside fearing a burglar, then the protected class Muslim cop shot her to death through the police car window, shooting past his partner in the police car?

Demonizing the person you kill is not an effective defense. It’s also not an effective defense to pretend as if she was a cop on duty, she was not, she was off duty. This man was in his own house, she entered and shot him to death. I do not care why she did it, that is actually immaterial. She killed a man in cold blood and no amount of deflection or smearing the dead guy will change that.

2nd degree murder at a minimum or it’s a sham.

Someone from the islands who might have consumed some Ganja? Shocked. Shocked I say.

Is the perp now going to claim that she busted into his home and shot him because she smelled some weed? Have they bothered to search her apartment and car to see what turned up?

It looks like this case meets the technical definition for murder in Texas. “intentionally or knowingly causes the death of an individual” but the just disposition is probably manslaughter. “A person commits an offense if he recklessly causes the death of an individual.”

Plead her to the Second Degree felony and some time inside.

Is it customary for the residence of a murder victim to be subject to a search warrant?

It is customary and routine as they need to determine if there was a connection or relationship between the victim and killer.

However, running to the media and going public about finding a bit of pot or something else which is totally irrelevant, is bull sh*t and is only meant to discredit and stigmatize the innocent victim.

Oh, he was a pot smoking black man. Does that make it alright to shoot him?

There was no reason to search his apartment or a search warrant granted. The police women committed the crimes, trespassing and manslaughter, not Botham Jean. This stinks. And I am pro law enforcement.

And what did they find in Guygers apt?

Truck drivers are required to pee in the cup after an accident. How about LEOs?
