AGJeff Sessions is telling Justice Department lawyers to push back against federal judges who have imposed nationwide injunctions against many of the Trump administration’s policies.
"A number of such injunctions in recent years have brought to the fore 'the problem of judges acting outside the bounds of their authority' and granting relief that reaches far beyond the confines of the particular case or controversy before them,”.. adding, “Consistent with the longstanding position of the Ex. Branch under Administrations of both parties, the Dept.of Justice opposes the issuance of such nationwide injunctions.”
In the memo, Sessions tells lawyers to remind the courts that they are bound by the U.S. Constitution — which limits their authority “to issue injunctions that extend beyond the parties to the case before them if such action is unnecessary to provide relief to the parties to the case.”
“Increasingly, we are seeing individual federal district judges go beyond the parties before the court to give injunctions or orders that block the entire federal government from enforcing a law or policy throughout the country,” Sessions said in a statement, slamming what he called historic “judicial activism.”
“This trend must stop. We have a government to run. The Constitution does not grant to a single district judge the power to veto executive branch actions with respect to parties not before the court. Nor does it provide the judiciary with authority to conduct oversight of or review policy of the executive branch. These abuses of judicial power are contrary to law, and with these new guidelines, this Department is going to continue to fight them,” said Sessions.

Where have you been Sessions asked for the resignations of 46 U.S. attorneys in March 2017...those who didn’t were fired. And he wasn’t done then. Just because they don’t get in the news don’t assume nothings being done or happening.

Why the held didn’t he do this the day after the elections in Nov. 2016? He gave the Left/Democrats almost 18 months of hardly challenged lawsuits and victories.
He can’t be the Attorney General and Rip Van Winkle at the same time. The AG is a 24/7 chief law enforcement officer of the US. He can’t be AWOL for a moment. He can’t be weak. He can’t give in to the destructive Left.
September 13th is right next to Sept. 11th (9/11 and Benghazi). He’s making this a bad habit of being unprepared and non-reactive until there’s blood on the ground.

This is exactly why I don’t like posting anything about Sessions here. The animosity toward him runs wild without people knowing what he is really doing.....This will be the last I post on Sessions work.
Well if you knew how Sessions works you wouldn’t ask this..Did you think the swamp critters were just going to stand up and identify themselves? Or did you just assume a few brought down would be sufficient rather than the whole stack of cards.
Tired of people here grumbling when they have no idea what our guys are doing let alone who and how they’re going after the corruption of ALL they need to go after. Let alone nailing them so it will stick.
Glad to see something positive too, but it doesn’t cancel the disappointment of 18 months of watching the swamp continue its coup attempt.
If sessions wins this, I will HALF forgive him for sleeping in the biggest case in 50+ years.
Have you not learned the news is now about the pundits and media itself.....you will not see what is actually being done and what isn’t in Washington until they are ready to let you see.....media hype is just that...hype.

Nobody knows how Sessions works. That is the PROBLEM. He is inconsistent and often out to lunch/AWOL when “timeliness” is of the essence.
Nailing “them so it will stick” after November’s election may be a mute point if the Dems take either the House or the Senate, or nightmarishly, both.
You destroy the enemy when you find them in most cases. You don’t let them prepare their defenses or get away, esp. the crooks we are dealing with.
Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice and John Kerry have escaped justice for far too long, and as one of the researchers on the Swiftboaters book about Kerry, I know that he got away with murder (of two SVN civilians), lying about his fake wounds (one was a pinprick possibly by his own weapon; one never happened - Bay Hap River; and the Rice in the Ass stupidity action; and possibly even a fourth faked one).
Justice delayed is justice denied. Just ask those thousands of raped women whose rape-kits were destroyed or ignored in storage rooms for decades.
PS: I’ve worked under the overall command of at least 4-5 Attorney Generals so I know something about how they operate.
If Sessions doesn’t produce something significant/indictments in the next few weeks re the fake Dossier, Hillary’s missing Emails, UraniumOne, the Clinton Foundation, Benghazi coverups, the DeepState of DOJ/FBI/DNI etc., then whatever he does later will be a footnote in a history book which will probably be written by a liberal.
Remember the old adage: TIMING IS EVERYTHING IN POLITICS.
Just look at the Clarence Thomas and the Kavanaugh smears.

Why has it taken so long to begin reining in these prima donna Federal Judges who negate the will of state legislatures, voter referenda, the Congress or the Executive Branch?
