I disagree wholeheartedly. The smart play, IMHO, is Feinstein for Senator and Cox for Governor. At 85, it's a fair bet that she doesn't complete her term, either through resignation due to ill health or just assuming room temperature. If, by some miracle, Cox beats out Gavin Narcissism, there's a fighting chance that Feinstein's replacement is much farther right than DeLeon.
Heck, this guy makes Kamala Harris look like a Conservative, not to mention making Mad Maxine sound sane. If it wasn't for the stupid "top 2" primary crap we now have, DeLeon be long gone and hard to find.
Agreed. For the same reason I voted for Mike Honda over his competitor (Ro something or other) last election. I despised the leftist Honda, but Ro kept pointing out that Honda was a slug who hadn't done anything in his several terms in office - and I took it as a ringing endorsement. Better a slothful, elderly socialist over an energetic young socialist. Unfortunately Ro won.
In this case I'd prefer the geriatric Feinstein over the leftier DeLeon.
