I’ve been saying that the Democrats have created a monster that they will not be able to control for quite a while now.
The old guard that did not separate the party from the thugs because it got them a few votes didn’t believe that the thugs would come after them.
They let the Bolsheviks have a seat at the table and the Bolsheviks have stolen the banquet. In a way, this might be a good thing if the Republicans can play it right. There are a lot, especially older, rank and file Democrats who might object to these hard-line Stalinist. These wins might split the Democratic Party along a 60/40 line.
