Immigrants in North Carolina and South Carolina shouldn’t worry about being arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement as they evacuate their homes or at the emergency shelters, an ICE spokesperson said Wednesday.
Bryan Cox, spokesperson for ICE in the southern region, said everyone should follow local evacuation orders during Hurricane Florence.
“Our highest priority remains the preservation of life and safety,” Cox said in an email. “In consideration of these circumstances, there will be no immigration enforcement initiatives associated with evacuations or sheltering related to Florence, except in the event of a serious public safety threat.”
Hurricane Florence has forced more than 1 million residents in the Carolinas and Virginia to evacuate their homes.

Au contraire, CatOwner FRiend. The laws ARE upheld against you, me, and all normal, legal everyday Americans. Illegals and top Democrats are exempted.
Illegal immigration is not a game. Laws are not rules of a game. One might think immigration, and the laws governing immigration are a game the way Democrats, and RINO’s approach the subject. It’s beyond time to reestablish law as a serious entity of governance.
Law has been subtly denigrated over the years to the point too many don’t take our laws, our enforcers of the laws seriously, because of liberal sabotage of the meaning of penalties.
Keep liberals out of government, and criminal’s in prison.

What is it about ILLEGAL the government refuses to acknowledge and ACT UPON?
We are rapidly becoming a lawless society with THREE SEPARATE TIERS OF so-called "JUSTICE": One for the protected illegal alien class, one for the protected rich and powerful class, and special protected racial class and one for regular American CITIZENS, WHERE THEY ALONE ARE SUBJECT TO "THE RULE OF LAW" and THEY ALONE ARE "PROSECUTED TO THE FULL EXTENT OF THE LAW".
Frankly, we are totally fed up with it.
ICE won’t round them up when they congregatein front of City Hall to demand their ‘rights’. ICE won’t go apprehend them in the businesses they work in and punish the employers. They won’t go get the hundreds of thousands who overstay their visa to deport them. Now they won’t take this opportunity to round them up here ither.
Um...that’s not winning.
