When I was interested in a possible future in Petroleum Engineering, I took a Geology class to see captured my interest.
3/4 of the class was made up by Journalism Majors to get their 3 Science Credits and it was super easy.
It always made me wonder how many got “D’s”
From my experience all of them!
I found the same thing with business classes that I took for general ed requirements. In one 300-level (junior) class, I had two funerals in a week to go to. Rough week for the family. When I came back Friday, there was a test that I had completely forgotten about. I hadn’t studied 5 minutes for it. Going in completely cold, I still scored a 94%. The people that couldn’t get a B in that class would do a lot better to save the money on school and go get a manual labor job now.
I took a forestry class that was like that, too. If you want to see something funny, take a freshman level environmental engineering class. The treehuggers in those classes don’t last long. The instructor is talking partial differential equations and the treehuggers in there think a natural log is what you burn to keep warm when camping.
