"Not one of these people ever deserved to come to our country...Getting on a jet airplane and simply walking into a place that millions of our people struggled to create is disgusting. They have no right to it."

So...we should deport my wife of 30+ years? Deport the two kids I adopted from overseas (one served in the Army Guard, two deployments. The other was in the Marines, one deployment.) My wife raised the family while I was deployed, far more times than I can count or guess at. At one point she had two kids and a husband deployed overseas at one time. You think she never lost any sleep, or failed to pray daily for us?

"They had nothing to do with the discovery, settling or creation of this nation."

What did YOU have to do "with the discovery, settling or creation of this nation"? Is your name "Columbus"? How many log cabins did YOU build? Are YOU a "Founding Father"?

I'd like to see legal immigration reprioritized and reduced, and illegal immigration stopped entirely. But I don't think my family coming to America in 1722 makes me a better American than my wife who was naturalized in the 1980s.

Re: “So...we should deport my wife of 30+ years?”

The issue is political, Mr. Rogers, not personal.

New immigrant citizens vote 80% for the Democrat Party.

In November 2016, you wrote a “Vanity” about how the voters in California had completely distorted the election.

You forgot to point out that 27% of California residents are foreign born, and that 55% of California residents are Hispanic or Asian.
