What thinking person cannot imagine, that while Rome began its decline that there were not people saying ‘let’s negotiate with the Huns and the Galls’, ‘Let’s let them in unfettered past our borders ‘. Human nature hasn’t changed in 100K years (perhaps longer). Half the population will always be dumber than the other half, and the elites (the deep state as we may call them now) don’t give a damn as long as they get to keep what wealth and power they have regardless of who is in charge.
