That Republican majority is needed to get more judges confirmed, keep the President from being impeached (House) and convicted (Senate) and get our defense ready for a world war with foreign enemies spoiling for it and positioning to nuke us.

As much as we dislike the GOP it’s better to have a RINO pissing in the tent than having a whole bunch of RATS doing it. I grew up in Connecticut and California and to see what the RATS have done to those two states makes me angry! That party must be defeated at every political level in this country in order to save it!

Tried it. Repubs gave Bill Clinton line item veto. SCOTUS ruled it was unconstitutional.
You do realize that, while impeachment can happen with 218 votes in the House (a simple majority), it takes 67 votes (2/3) in the Senate to convict the impeached person. Even if the Senate were to flip in November, I can't see 15 or so Republican Senators voting against their party to get to the 67 required.
Let’s just have the ACE (army corp) build the damn wall. Order it and get it done Donald. Evey single day without a border wall is harming American and it’s citizens.

Poor writing in this press release. Whenever you use abbreviations, you ALWAYS write out the full word(s) first, followed by them so that the reader knows what the hell you are talking about.
The Schumer/Phocohantas press release is amateurish and self-promoting. This cleanup action could fall under the Clean Water Act and/or CERLCA, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Liability and Compensation Act.
In order for the money to be appropriated, a ROD (Record of Decision) must be issued by a governmental environmental body and/or a court (if it was litigated). Then the responsible party(ies) are assigned their costs percentage re 100% responsibility down to Zero dollars (if the Govt was not responsible for the damages).
Once the cleanup agreement is signed and liability assigned, the request for the money goes to an Assistant Attorney General or higher to sign off on, and then the request goes to the Treasury.
What this press release of sorts didn’t tell us was when was the site first determined to be a Superfund Site (and listed on the NPL - National Priorities List for action or as a major CWA Act violation; when were the site assessments begun & finished; did the case go to a court, a Master or was it settled between the Government and all parties concerned.
I suspect that this site was CERCLAed many years ago and only within the past few years has liability been assigned and the money requested, probably before Trump became president.
That might put the whole legal action back in the Obama Administration (EPA led by Marxist Lisa Jackson and then Gena McCarthy -don’t know what she was).
However, if it site/case was litigated or even just researched by DOJ, then the job fell to the very competent ENRD (Environmental & Natural Resources Division). They don’t play politics. They do their jobs very competently and in an unbiased manner.
When their findings or court findings are produced and agreed upon (re no Appeal), the “liability” phase begins re assigning monetary damages and clean-up costs which usually takes less than 6 months for a signature, esp. in an uncontested or non-appealed case.
Schumer and the Indian Princess really know how to suck money out of the federal government, often for things that are state or local issues/concerns.
The “PORK IS FAT” with these Democrat leeches.
