U.S. slashes the number of refugees it will allow into the country

The United States will admit no more than 30,000 refugees in the coming fiscal year, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Monday, the lowest number in decades and a steep cut from the 45,000 allowed in this year.

The new number is a small fraction of one percentage point of the almost 69 million displaced people in the world today. But Pompeo said the United States remains the most generous nation when other U.S. aid to refugees is taken into account, including funds to shelter and feed refugees in camps closer to their home countries.

WINNING!!! The 69 MM number is completely bogus. It includes Central Americans who are classified as "refugee" due to out of control violence. It includes half the population of Syria, 3 MM Iraqis, the population of Yemen, and 2 MM Ukrainians.

We need to slash it to 0. We don't need anymore people in this country. We should allow a small number of people into the country who are actually needed, and I don't mean for cheap labor. When we were a huge country with a small population it made since to allow immigration, because we benefited from it. Now in most cases they take far more than they give. TRUMP 2020!

Many of these “refugees” from “peril and persecution” later go back to their home countries for visits. Somalis in the USA do it all the time.

There is the crux of the matter. Only allow in people who have the ability to work and earn their own keep. It was required when we came over in the 50’s, before the Kennedys happened. In those days if the immigrants wouldn’t/couldn’t work, their sponsor (had to be sponsored for 5 years by an American family) had to take care of their financial needs: housing, food, bills, medical, etc.
