Tesla under criminal investigation by Justice Department

Tesla is under investigation by the Justice Department, a company spokesperson confirmed Tuesday.

In a statement to The Washington Times, the Tesla spokesperson said the Justice Department reached out for documents after an August tweet by CEO Elon Musk about taking the high-tech car company private:

In either event, any shareholders who aren’t shorting the stock are going to get killed, or will commit suicide.

I have zero stake in Tesla and less interest in driving one. I would have no comment if the stories said SEC, but everything I saw said Justice which set me off.

no. i’m referring to battery technology, which has yet to even come close to the energy density of a tank of gas ... until that happens, electric cars will be little more than expensive golf carts ...

The SEC will be involved, but, as you may or should know, when it comes to a foreign deal, like with Iran, the FBI/DOJ will be involved, and perhaps even the CIA.
