Aren't they part of the group with oversight intelligence duties who hold the highest securities of anyone in Congress, along with their Republican counterparts? That might be what gives them the gall to try this.
Hopefully those in the bureaucracies will ignore them and follow the president's orders, and not drag this out on and on.

Congress is the Legislative Branch and HAS NO JURISDICTION OVER THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH. The Constitution is clear on the subject! The bureaucracies had better obey the president’s orders or the will be hell to pay. Pelosi and company should be charged with inciting a Constitution Crisis and attemp to undermine the president. There is plenty of evidence.
