I just looked through Twitter at some of the clowns who always cover and tout the special elections. Nate Cohn, Actor Aaron Booth, etc... not a peep about this one. They are busy pushing their fake polls. The Twitter slobs are dead quiet and this was a HUGE win.
I thought special elections mean everything?
Come to think of it, there are a couple of concerned regulars here at FR who liked to blast Vox articles about special elections on the front page.
I didnt see their posts either...
Strange.
Congratulations to the top brass of the Texas Republican Party who supported Pete Flores in winning a district of miles and miles of ranch land and more roadrunners than people. This seat means that the GOP now has a super majority in the Texas Senate, so it is an important win.
Wait...
Did that say ..."flipping a Democratic district red for the first time in 139 years"???
Yes. Yes it DID say "flipping a Democratic district red for the first time in 139 years."
I mean, for a moment I wasn't SURE it said "flipping a Democratic district red for the first time in 139 years..."
But then, yes, I realized... it DID say "FLIPPING A DEMOCRAT DISTRICT RED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 139 years..."
Wow... that's a helluva "Blue Wave" them there dems got goin'on... Just sayin' allkindasortalike...
That’s a huge win!
Flipping a seat Dems held for 139 years is even better news....... b/c Obama’s dream was to turn Texas blue.
As the late “3 Stooges” member Joe Besser would say,
“I like it! I like it!
Flores should be known as The Republican Reconstructionist II. And I like what he said when “The work begins tomorrow”.
Hit the ground running and never look back, only forward.
This Texas election has implications far beyond the state of Texas. The result of this huge Republican victory in a heavily Democrat district in Texas bodes well for all Republicans in Texas. The Governor & U.S. Senator election will reveal Gregg Abbott winning his Governor re-election by a majority of a 1.5 million vote majority and Senator, Ted Cruz will win his re-election attempt by a 1 million vote victory margin over his rival, Democrat, Beto O’Roucke.
Folks....it will be “Wendy Davis 2.0” day over again in Texas!!!
Go, Trump, go, Abbott, go, Cruz, go, GOP...GOTV, Go, MAGA!!!
This district is almost minority gringo
Forty percent Latino
Texas Latinos could surprise us one day especially once you get out of the impoverished valley
I work with a fair number of Amerindian Guats and Mexicans
All I know love Trump
Legal construction trade guys...go getters..
This is so funny! The street corners are littered with Gellego signs and billboards. Flores signs were hidden around the turn not facing the street cause Gellego hogged up all the space. Gallegos also lost in 2016 running for the Senate. What a repeat loser!
