They’re really not enjoying having to play by their own rules. I hope this lady can still eat in a restaurant in peace.
Sarcasm aside, I don’t support the practice of doxxing and threatening people in the political arena and I encourage others to resist reveling in someone being hunted down and chased from their home. Even if it may be hyperbole on the person’s part, being the good guy means not being the bad guy. It’s one thing to search Google and Lexus nexus for a name to learn and report relevant details about a person who gets into the public sphere, it’s another one entirely to make threats against their safety, even if they are empty in nature.
You’re right, of course. We shouldn’t have firebombed Dresden nor nuked Hiroshima. Better to play nicey-nice when someone is determined to kill you and destroy everything you hold dear.
When the Roman Empire decided to reward its retired military with a whole new country, Romania, they killed, enslaved or displaced everyone already on the land there. Do you remember what those people were called?
Me neither.
