pragmatic gun legislation comes to the table in the upcoming legislative session

They do love their thesaurus. Reasonable...now pragmatic. But what does pragmatic mean? Practical. Are laws redundant in letter and spirit practical? Are laws that infringe on the rights of the law-abiding practical? Is any law that will be ignored by criminals practical in any way?

Let’s be clear: Unless Nevadans adopt laws to help curb the nation’s epidemic of gun violence, we’re not doing everything possible to protect our kids or anybody else

Let's rephrase the old saw: 'protecting children' is the last refuge of a scoundrel. And how, exactly, will one laws in one state affect conditions in 49 other states? Nonsensical. But then the gun control types always are.

***’protecting children’ is the last refuge of a scoundrel.***

Sounds like Bill Clinton who ended so many demands for unconstitutional laws with the words..”...to protect our children!”
