but that’s different

"but that's different" is one of the left's mottos. It works because the Resistance media is just part of the Dem'rat party.

Kavanaugh has character witnesses coming out of nowhere for him.

So what? He could have rock solid alibis for not having been anywhere near this person and character witnesses from Washington to Palo Alto.

Doesn't matter to the Socialists who put a "D" after their name. What's-her-twit said he did it in a vague recollection under mild psychotropic drugs using hypnosis to bring out a "repressed memory". That means that Kavanaugh is guilty of everything and should be flogged publicly.

Oh, yeah, and impeach Trump for having the temerity to bring forward Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court.

"Suggests that Feinstein or someone conducted a little investigation before releasing the Ford letter. This could explain why she did not release the Ford letter back in the summer when she received it. She found it not credible but the looming threat of Kavanaugh approval has caused her to throw credibility to the wind."

Save the anguish its put on Judge Kavanaugh and his family I’ve found the whole thing funny as well. Kavanaugh is going to be confirmed

I have found nothing in this the least bit funny, and it is wobbly and spineless GOPeers who have helped put Kavanaugh and his family through this anguish. Feinstein should have been removed and censured for her antics. She just threw whatever reputation she had for being a "reasonable" liberal onto the garbage heap of history. She would be done but for the Republicans.

And I think most reasonable people are ready to roast the entire GOP if Kavanaugh is not confirmed. But that doesn't make it a done deal.

This is about as funny as a battalion of marines clearing out dug in Japanese with machine guns, bayonets, flame-throwers and grenades.

Our country and the lives and fortunes of honorable people are on the line here.

I think Senator, Grassley should demand a commitment from Ms. Ford or her lawyers, today, that she will either attend the hearing set for next Monday to testify relative to her alleged accusations against Judge, Brett Kavanaugh or, she will refuse to attend, rejecting the generous offer and opportunity presented to her from the Senate Judicial Committee to publicly air her accusations.

If Ms. Ford does not respond by 5:00 PM today or refuses the invitation to be present, Senator, Grassley should cancel the special session on next Monday and he should schedule a committee vote Tomorrow, Thursday to move the Kavanaugh nomination to the full Senate, for an immediate up or down vote.....Case closed!!!

_______________

Sounds good to me.

Don’t blame the dems. If we can have a special counsel with no crime we can have an assault with no time or place.

The reason why they haven’t named the “other girl” at the party may be that they are culling through her old yearbook to get a SJW candidate to vouch for her.

The best thing that could happen would be for the Senate Committee hear her testimony on Monday. Since she acting like a reluctant participant, they should offer to do it in closed session.

Hmmm, you will note that the Democrat cabal wants an open session to grandstand again. I wonder if Corey Booker and Sen. Harris will injure themselves racing to be the first to speak.

Why does “Dr.” Ford wear sunglasses in the photo of herself? She looks like she’s in witless protection.

With Ms. Ford's close relationship with the CIA as campus/faculty sponsor for CIA interns, did she talk with the CIA about this? If so, when?

Since her family has long-term relationships with the CIA through her father and herself, was there any formal or informal contact with the CIA, if so, when?

Is Ford's relationship with the CIA verified or just an internet rumor? It appears that the terrible ratings on some Professor ratings web site were about a different Prof. Ford. We lose the battle when we make 9 true and devastating points and get one wrong. That wrong one will be the only one that the media reports.

"What date did the revelation happen in 2012 regarding her therapy session? When did Mitt Romney announce that, if elected, he would nominate Kavanaugh for the SCOTUS? Was there any timeline alignment regarding Romney's initiative to nominate Kavanaugh and Ms. Ford's revelation to her mental health counselor?"

____________

It's somewhat likely that in 2012 her "story at her therapy session" was the beginning of a story on Kavanaugh in case Romney won the election and Kavanaugh was considered by Romney for the Supreme Court.

Ford's accusations should not be given one ounce of credibility until she makes them under oath with full consequences of perjury in play. Kavanaugh's attorneys should be allowed to depose her in advance of her appearing before the committee.

Congress should pass a law to eliminate the threat of late night accusations as a tool in derailing campaigns or appointments. It should be a felony to make a false accusation in an attempt to influence a Federal Election or appointment. If an accusation is made to influence, the accuser must submit to a deposition by the attorney for the accused 3 days after the the attorney provides public notice demanding the deposition. Failure to appear would carry a mandatory minimum 1 year in prison (no probation or parole) up to 5 years.

This will put an stop to this tactic. If not, the Democrats will continue to use it.

There would be people serving time for the Herman Caine and Roy Moore accusations if such a law had been in effect.

Our country and the lives and fortunes of honorable people are on the line here.

We've been getting told this type of hyperbole since Clinton and his shenanigans - most people listen to FM don't follow this stuff like you do and therefore don't care enough to start CWII over it.

We didn't know Dianne Feinstein was crook and chinese pawn? You really think the other crooks in the senate (all of them) are going to do something about it now?

We didn't know that republican senators were doche bags before this?

We didn't know they had no spine before this?

This is theater for political junkies and nothing more we will be no nearer or further from civil war due to the Kavanaugh hearing. All that has happened here is the democrats have further damaged their electoral prospects while making the next justice on the supreme court more aware of the culture war - and hopefully more conservative.

The country survived clinton and obama it will survive this as well.

The whole thing is so transparent as to be predictable and so poorly executed to be laughable. I find that funny.

Some of the threads on FR have had comments saying Ford wrote a similar letter about Neil Gorsuch before his confirmation. Has anyone seen sources for this information? There are a lot of rumors swirling around this case.
