Democrats’ smash and smear agenda reaches new heights
nypost ^ | 09/18/2018 | Michael Goodwin

A nation gawks as Washington sinks deeper into the muck, but put aside your disgust long enough to digest what we’re seeing. Three big things are on display.

First, Democrats are proving again that their force multiplier is a win-or-die zealotry. They were on a mission to kill anybody President Trump chose to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy and, within minutes of Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer announced he would fight Kavanaugh “with everything I have.” All 10 Dems on the Judiciary Committee pledged to vote no.

They looked silly given the nominee’s impeccable credentials, and worse when leftist legal luminaries lined up to praise Kavanaugh as a brilliant jurist and sterling father, husband and mentor.

One feminist supporter of Hillary Clinton called him “a superstar” and urged his confirmation by saying, “He is the most qualified conservative for the job.”

“some Republicans have a streak of French in them and surrendered before the first shots were fired.” The WaPo says this?

Republicans are filthy cowards. Each and every one.

The Rats may have really screwed up with this one. We begin to see signs the polling is looking very bad for them.

I agree. They are depending on the average (basically uninformed) voter to accept the logic of FBI involvement. But most people know that such involvement related to the alleged activities of a teenager 35 years ago is preposterous, if not hilarious.

Democrats do not hold hearings on ANY trump nominees - for ANY office.

They hold smearings, though, and apparently have raised this opportunity to an art form.

First, the playbook text calls for labeling the nominee as “racist, sexist, homophobic, and Islamophobic”, and probably did not go to the right schools, if the applicant managed to maintain even a minimum level of intellectual achievement.

Then comes the extensive anal exam, using broken glass as the probing instrument, and ever-expanding requests for “in-depth” background information, going back perhaps to infancy, when every action or life habit is scrutinized endlessly, and judged, not on the temper of the times in which these possibly disturbing events occurred, but by contemporary “community standards”, which the Democrats take upon themselves as being the final arbitrators (since, of course, they are the smartest people in the room, and are perfectly qualified to set the standards for everybody else).

Even if, after applying all these impossible and probably contradictory measures of character, the applicant comes through with NO blemishes on his character or demeanor, the Democrats go ahead and do just what they were going to do all the time anyway, and vote against confirmation.

This is Michael Goodwin, a conservative editorial writer, in the NY Post, not the WaPo.

The GOP is dead in the Trump era but they better get their heads out of their keester for this. If we lose this SCOTUS pick, there will be Hell to pay in the Midterms. The left will smell blood and Conservatives will rebel fracturing the majority.

The end justifies the means to them. <<<

Always remember:

the difference between liberals and conservatives...

A conservative bases his politics on his principles/morals...

A liberal bases his principles/morals on his politics.

Agreed! Anyone who would smear a man as qualified as Judge Kavanaugh, is morally reprehensible--and obviously no friend of the American people.Let us dedicate ourselves to creating a political climate for the fall election, which properly addresses the despicable miscreants!!

...Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer announced he would fight Kavanaugh “with everything I have.”

That speech was prewritten with only the name left blank. It would have been applied to any Trump nominee.

Every time they pull a stunt like this, I think of the little boy who yelled ‘wolf’!!

At some point, no one came to help...

Liberals, by now, can be taken seriously about NOTHING! They have absolutely no credibility and are totally irrelevant. They are also ridiculous
