Tesla’s going far. There’s one orbiting in the solar system now.

Well, he might be right, but you know Bob...Musk doesn’t have to discount his cars 20-30% just to get them out the door like you did

Maybe your GM calculus isn’t quite adequate for this case

Similar to Uber and Lyft, alive due to massive subsidy by venture capitalists. Tesla is alive die to massive subsidy of our tax dollars.

Uber and Lyft at least they are throwing their money away voluntarily. Bit they are destroying legit unsubsidized business (taxis).

““He’s got 9,000 people in that assembly plant producing less than 150,000 cars per year,” he said, referring to Elon Musk. “The whole thing just doesn’t compute.”

But they are already above the 150k/y rate...

Lutz’s analysis may be right on the money.

But it does beg the question, if GM knows so much about building vehicles profitably, why did the government have to bail them out?

The patents are probably worth something, though.

The big danger with buying a Tesla isn’t so much that the company will go under as much as it is that if the company goes under, every Tesla on the road today could get permanently disabled via software update by the company or its creditors as a way of reducing future liabilities.

Is he saying that the Rats will never be in power again? Because that is the only way it dies, no Rats.

When the Rats are back in power and outlaw fossil fuels, Tesla will be back on top.

Graveyard for Tesla? Maybe so, but GM will be there first. That's one race GM knows how to win.

There are only 2 American car companies that have not gone bankrupt. Ford and Tesla.

Tesla isn’t headed for the graveyard. They’ll just eventually merge with Toyota and within ten years, the Tesla factory in Fremont, CA will be assembling Toyota-branded electric cars.

I know Freepers love to hate

And they really love to hate Elon Musk

But I watched the Joe Rogan show with Musk in entirety recently including drinking some whiskey I’d never seen before and smoking some ganj

Rogan was a little milquetoast honestly but I found Musk fascinating

He’s very cool dude and has sharp insight

Granted he’s lived off subsidies but not question he’s visionary.....and he’s idiosyncratic like with the flamethrower....that was so funny

I was impressed with him to be honest

And his taste in women is top shelf.

I like him

Ok come and get me y’all

Tesla’s are so overpriced. Paying all that $$ just for a big ‘luxury’ golf cart battery that can only last about 10 years.
