Will Chamberlain called the letter a constitutional crisis

A constitutional crisis means that there is no way out of the present predicament under the Constitution. That is simply not the case here. All executive power is vested in the President who is the commander in chief of the armed forces [and therefore arbiter of what information is or is not vital to national security]. There is no constitutional crisis. Some legislators are simply opining about things outside their ken and calling for insurrection.

The real crisis is that the Constitution did not contemplate that the majority party in the Congress would be composed of invertebrates. To that problem there is no solution since the other party was the party we ran from when we voted in the spineless party.

One of the best posts of the week.

Surgery to add backbones to GOP in Congress is covered by Medicaid, I think. Or we’ll do a GoFundMe.

The founders did not anticipate a major party itself becoming an agent of tyranny.
