I’m not denying history I’m telling you what the reality of the law in the USA is. Guys getting it on with willing underage girls isn’t new. That’s why statutory rape was created. It’s a man’s responsibility to determine that his sex partner is 18. You can bemoan the unfairness of it til the cows come home but “she told me she was 18” is not a winning case in court. That’s why the guy fled the country.
Taiwan and the US are currently in talks on an extradition treaty which they elect to sign next year.
I know all about the current state of law.
I stand by my statement.
“Its a mans responsibility to determine that his sex partner is 18.”
Its a mans or woman’s responsibility to determine that his or her sex partner is legally able to consent.
What’s really not new is the tweep state using fabricated sex charges to go after political adversaries.
This should get your analysis back on track.
