When will Democrats wake up and resist the socialists' scheme to take over their party?

When President Obama embraced “Medicare for All” earlier this month, it was a remarkable moment. Not because the proposal will be adopted (it won’t) or because the price tag would bankrupt the nation (it would).

Rather, it was a remarkable moment because a former American president played the role of enabler for the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).

Indeed, Obama’s endorsement was a moment of great celebration for an organization that for years has plotted to hijack the Democratic Party and use it as a parasitic host to remake the nation.

Here’s how.

Back in 2012, the Vice Chairman of DSA Joseph M. Schwartz and fellow Political Committee Member Jason Schulman published a strategy document that presented their dream of a socialist America and the political path to get there.

The dream was to abolish privately owned businesses, from small mom-and-pop stores to large corporate enterprises.

“Wealth,” they explained, “is a social creation and should be controlled by society as a whole.”

DSA would thus replace America’s entrepreneurs with Socialist bureaucrats or worker groups. Businesses would be renamed “cooperatives,” though in “advanced socialism” – Communism – they might once again be called “soviets.”

“The Dems were socialists all along. They just didn’t want to admit such.”

Yes, and the Left Wing Media has abetted their subterfuge for decades if not a century or more. If the media actually reported what the RATs really had in store for the country, they would not survive, because their “vision” for America is the current state of affairs in Venezuela.

For those who don’t read the entire article, here is the crux of the matter:

“DSA’s leaders didn’t explain how these programs might work or be paid for, nor have they in the six years since their 2012 pronouncements. But that’s the point, it seems. The endeavor was not about actually governing but rather rebranding and normalizing a broken ideology.”

The left must always rewrite history in order to conceal their failures and hide their true intentions.

I agree with you. Unfortunately, decrying “socialism” tends to focus conservatives on purely economic issues. Socialism is a tool for them. We spent the 90’s arguing about capital gains tax cuts and free trade while they laid the groundwork for gay marriage and trannies and infinity 3rd World immigration (legal or not).

Democrats can’t believably oppose the socialist explosion in the Party because it is merely long time Democrat philosophy reaching its logical absurdity. Democrats subscribe to the ancient Communist slogan of “No Enemies to the Left.” That instils in all of them the understanding that they are wimps compared to the Revolutionaries so they can’t really oppose the Communists.

I think the Dem’s the author is referring to are the ones that have money, live in the nice white neighborhoods, can afford to live in Greenwich, Conn; Asheville, NC; Virginia Highlands in Atlanta; whatever the nice, white liberal, upscale neighborhood is in Austin; or can live in a nice expensive highrise in any city they choose, while still being at double arms distance from those beneath them.

Their money insulates them from all of it. They can vote whatever way they want because their money is protected. They can champion all the causes and even throw a few bucks at them, once in a while, but there are layers and layers of insulation between them and the rest of the Left. They’ll go to their dinner parties and talk about the ills of the world and how liberal policies will fix them all, even not one of those policies has improved anything in the last 100yrs.

But, at the end of the day, they will guard their money like Smaug guarding the gold in The Hobbit. They will use every tax deduction in the IRS code to keep as much of it as possible. So, at the end of the day, if the Democratic Party is taken over by Cortez and Sanders and they start losing their money, they’ll all start voting Republican.

The CPUSA quit running candidates for President in the 2008 election. They decided that the dimrats were so close to their ideals that they would save their money.

The headline infers democrats are intelligent.

The speaker (i.e. headline) implies. The listener (i.e. reader) infers.

We'll let you off with a warning this time but try to be better in the future.

The DEM politicians want to be leaders of socialist individuals, and retain all of the perks of being unquestioned leaders in this country.

There is no final blueprint for socialism.

An interesting admission. It means that there are no criteria by which the outcomes may be measured, which is why they're entirely unfazed by what is happening in Venezuela. Politically, it means that the only thing they actually are certain of is that they want power and mean to exercise it however they please.

“””When will Democrats wake up and resist the socialists’ scheme to take over their party?”””

What a silly question.

The Democrats know exactly what they are doing. The Democrats are speaking directly to the millions of voters who have been brainwashed in the Socialist Schools and Universities over the past 50 years.

Except for the very, very low information voter over the age of 60, the Democrats have lost all of the senior citizens who received their education prior to say 1975.

Anyone have a book to recommend that summarizes all of that, to recommend to a young person to read? Or a documentary movie? Yes our young people have been completely brainwashed and if we dont do something they will eventually vote in communism.

That question should have been asked about 40 years ago. The “progressives” (i.e. the Leftists, A.K.A. the Communists) took over the party in 1972, lost it for a little time under Carter, and have been steadily building their strength since then. Traditional Dems like Harry Truman, John Kennedy, Scoop Jackson, Sam Nunn and even Hubert Humphrey - ALL of whom were Americans and patriots before they were Dems - would have no place in this party today (and wouldn’t have since at least 2000).

The horse already escaped; who cares if the barn door is closed now.

There are only 2 solutions that work out well for this country: first, such a series of titanic defeats for the Dems that they become strictly a coastal party - with maybe 35 Senators and 180 reps (we’re not too far from that) - so that those party bigwigs who remain either toss the Commies out, or leave and form an new party, with the Commies too small to affect policy (but not too small to annoy the crap out of everyone); alternative #2 would have a huge up-front cost...civil war. I certainly don’t favor it, but some large events are pretty much destined to occur no matter what individuals either prefer or do. The only other alternative is that these bastards take over, and that won’t end well for 50-100 million of us.

In short, we either defeat them or they defeat us - there IS no middle ground, no reforming of the Dems.

I don’t understand why this is a surprise.

It does expose the media as a propaganda machine to the international leftists. The Frankfurt School.

Obama WAS raised by two marxists.
His parents met in a Russian class.
Obama claimed he was a Marxist.
Obama never claimed NOT to be a Marxist at any point up until he was president.

As such, it is clear that he did exactly what he could, to the extent of his elected powers, to advance his un-advertised beliefs.

When will we unblock Obama’s college records? That alone should tell all.
